Friday August 22

*Iron Horse Festival- Downtown St.Thomas will come alive as the Iron Horse Festival takes to the streets! The Festival features live entertainment on three stages, family midway, rib-fest,  vendors, Cruise Night, Kid's Junction with children's activities and hands-on art projects, Iron Chef Grill-off, craft & food booths, games, loonie bingo, and much more!

*Zurich Bean Festival- The Bean Festivals BIG day is Saturday,   opening events on the Friday! The event kicks off on Friday night with the annual Cruise Nite, sponsored by the Wrench Benders Club. They leave the Zurich Community Ball Diamonds at 7 p.m. to put on a great parade of antique cars.! Friday night ends at dusk with the spectacular fireworks show. There will also be great dinners of special baked beans, with pork loin and coleslaw!

Saturday August 23

*Ride For Kidney- The ride is travelling from Rocky's in London and heading to Turkey Point. There will be BBQ's, live entertainment and great prizes! Registration begins at 9:30am.

*Watermelonfest- The parade kicks off the day at 10am and opening ceremonies are at 11am. There will be lots to do like yard sales, food, and dances! Also there's free rides, free entertainment, and free watermelon!

Sunday August 24

*Shride- Motorcycle Charity Ride for Children. Supporting the Mocha Shriners Paediatric Orthopaedic Telemedicine Service and Shiners Hospitals. Donate $25 dollars to ride, or ride for free if you gather over $100 in pledges. The ride starts at the Childrens hospital at LHSC Victoria Hospital at 9:30. The ride leaves at 11am, and when they reach their destination there will be prizes, drinks, entertainment and a free BBQ for riders!

*Shedden Fair- Brought to you by the Shedden Agricultural Society, the fair will have all the classic fair action such as Breakfast,Livestock Shows, Antique Tractor Pull, Demo Derby, and a Midway!

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 501, in Lambeth invites everyone to enjoy live music Saturday.  Running from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.   

The Fanshawe College Paramedic Students are hosting a Charity Car Wash from 10am - 4pm.  It will be held at Thames EMS Station 1 (corner of York and Waterloo).  Proceeds are for Easter Seals, 9/11, and the Fanshawe College Paramedic Program.

SUNDAY AUGUST 24:

Every Sunday in August local artists display their artwork on the lawn at St. Paul's Cathedral (Richmond & Queen Street).  Walk through the rows of artwork and enjoy the beautiful settings.  Admission is free.  For more info call 519-434-3225.
